sytycd: tough love or misplaced blame?

i’m curious to hear what everyone thought of nigel’s attitude and comments this week. i don’t know what they’re ratings are like during the summer but this week they were second to last ahead of the CW shows, 90210 and Melrose Place. i’m just not sure what his purpose was for being so mean to the dancers, the studio audience and the at home audience.
i have many opinions about this but in short, i think it’s ridiculous that he was upset with the voters for not letting him pick off nathan and mollee. this was the first week that the audience got any say in the staying or going. he and the other judges are responsible for the top 20, the choreographers, the dance styles, the format of the show, the ridiculous claims that this is the best group of dancers they’ve had on the show.
And why in the world does he think that the bottom quarter of the cast should be outperforming the top quarter of last season’s? no makey sense.

since they could walk, both boys were very interested in my coffee on weekend mornings. thinking they’d lose interest once they had a taste, I let them try it. I could not have been more wrong. I could have tried, but I would not have succeeded.
miles’ interest has waned a bit in the last year but oz loves a strong cup of cah-PEE.

show is just starting here on the west coast. they jumpy split thing jakob just did already earned a rewind. hope that’s a sign of things to come. comment away!!
